So,I hope everybody went out and bought my new book. Unfortunately. Godaddy is having some weird billing issues and I can't get on site to get it fixed. Actually, I can't get myself motivated to fix it. It took me a long time to figure out if I was even goign to post here. I haven't felt like writing, or promoting my book.
Sigh
My mom passed away last Tuesday. I'm still having a hard time saying it, thinking it. She lived with us and now it's too quiet. Not that she made a lot of noise, but she's just not...there. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. And now there's issues with her estate and I'm just a bundle of not happy. I'm tired, sad...a little pissed off.
I guess that's all. As if that weren't enough.

You know, I say every year, that THIS year, I'm going to be on top of things. I'm not going to have to wrap last minute, or worse...shop last minute.
Oh, how naive I am.
Sigh, doesn't matter how early I start, and I invariably only start on Black Friday. Yes, I get up and go shopping with the masses to fight over the newest ohmygodmykidsmusthavethatthingrightnowgetoffitbitchit's mine!!!!!!!, (ok, it's not that bad, yet. older kids have outgrown that for the most part and the little guy is too little to start) and I get a good majority of my shopping done. Usually. There's always the little stuff. Like the impossible husband to shop for. God, he gives me fits. So, I'm pretty much done. HOwever, I need to take out my oldest so he can buy Steve and his sister something for Christmas.
And, to add to my fun, the baby has gotten something 'virile'. For those that don't know, that's doctor speak for "it's just a cold you overacting twit and no I'm not going to do anything for the kid. JUST SUFFER". But I'm not bitter. Anyway, he's really sick. From the croupy cough to a nose that won't. stop. running. And he's been so congested with no drainage for so long, I hate to give him anything to stop the drainage, but his little nose is so red.
And you just KNOW I'm going to wind up waking up Christmas morning with a sea of wrapping paper to clean up and a ham to cook with a fever of 101. Which is what the little guy's is.
Snazzy.
Sigh. I guess I'll stop complaining and remember that I actually like Christmas. And go wrap those damn presents that are mocking me from their shiny packages whilst listening to my deathly ill child dance the rhumba in his crib.

Eternal Rendezvous and jypzrose.com as a whole will be down for a while. It's time to renew the domain and I just don't have the fundage right now. So, hopefully next week. You can find most of my spuffy stuff at the Crypt of Fic, as as well as quite a few of my other pairings. I'm sure they are all elsewhere too, but that's the one I know I gave permission too.

Well, some good news. I've been offered a contract for "Two Doors Down". I wasn't really worried about it, but it's always nice to get that confirmation. It will probably be about three months before it's actually published between edits and artwork, so keep an eye here or on my website for news. I actually have to update my website. sigh.
Anywhoo, on a different note. I have decided, and I'm not sure how insane I am, to home preschool my little one. One, because I highly doubt we'll be able to actually afford preschool. Two, because of our stupid laws here, my son will be almost six before he starts kindergarten. He has to be five by Sept 1 to start K. His birthday is Sept 14. And its the same thing for preK. He'd have to be four by Sept 1. So, because of that, he'll be almost a full year older than his other classmates. So, I want him to have good headstart.
You also have to jump through a lot of hoops to get your kid in PreK. Cause it's free, there's a lot of people trying to get into it. Obviously. And it's not required by the state so yeah, alot of hoops.
Anyway, I've been looking around and I've found a curriculum I think I like, but the damn thing is 80 bucks. Maybe I'll check and see if the library has it and make use of teh copier machine. oops, did I say that. LOL
And why is most homeschool stuff bible based? Not that I'm opposed to that, but, I think that's a little biased. :shrugs:

Ok, so, I need a little help from someone with some time to kill. I will probaly have my manuscript done tonight and I'll spell check it and such. What I need is an opinion. I need someone to read it over and make sure the story flows, etc. Any takers? Please? heh.

So, todays my birthday. I'm thirty six, a little squeamish about that so we won't discuss furhter. Unless there's presents. Cause yeah...presents. LOL.
Got chinese for dinner. Yum. A fantastic card from the hubby and two great cards from the kids. Ty even signed his himself. With a little help from daddy, of course. hee. Money from moms, a pretty necklace from one sis and a Bath and Body works gift card from the other, which is awesome since I was too broke to get either of them anything for their birthdays. I got good peeps.
Ugh. Watching the new NCIS and Fringe after. My new addiction. Have I ever said how much I LOVE Joshua Jackson? I mean, I never understood why all the girls were running after Dawson. I so would have been all over Pacey. Like a ho on a john. LOL. I would watch Fringe even if it sucked because of him. Cause,yeah. So cynical, so blue eyed. So hot. Sigh. Anyway...

So, I'm still alive. And hi to all you out there that are still reading this journal. :D I do love all of you. :sniff:
Ok then. Nothing really to report. We've been very busy, hence the lack of posting anything. Went to the beach then turned around and went to Ohio to attend my grandfathers 90th bday party. The funny part was, this was the first time he'd ever seen my youngest son, the two year old. And he has pictures and all that, but he doesn't remember anything after 2006, which was teh year Ty was born. He did look tickled pink to see teh little bugger though, so that was fun. :D
I have a new book completed. Now, as I say that, I mean it is hand written in a notebook and is mostly transcribed. I'm actually down to the last two chapters, and guess what? I've been there for over a week. And the damn thing is written, I just have to you know...type it. Kinda like what I'm doing now. Sigh. And once it's done and submitted and sent off to the editor fairy, (heh) I have another story almost completely plotted out and I even know the ending. I never know the ending. I just kinda wing it until the inspiration hits me. Works usually. hee
So maybe I should be doing that instead of you know, doing this. LOL
I got called for jury duty. I find this highly annoying, especially since I don't have a babysitter for my little guy and I have a feeling the judge is going to say 'yea, so.' Keep your fingers crossed my lot doens't get called.
Tomorrow's my birthday. Yuck.

So, for whatever reason, I feel the need to say this. Mainly because so many people are gushing about it and I realize that its a big deal MOVIE, but....
I have absolutely NO desire, whatsoever, to see The Dark Knight At all. I mean, I see the commercials, and I cringe. i didn't want to see the first one, but I got tricked into that. Long story. Kinda boring. Won't tell. lol. But, I really don't want to see this one. Part of it is because of Heath Ledger. Not because I don't like him. Because I did. And I feel, for me, his death would overshadow any enjoyment I might have in the movie. Call me strange or whatever, but I just don't want to see it.
So, call me the ONLY person in America to say that, and I'm all right with it. I hope those that do see it, enjoy.

So, Finally, I'm here to post an exerpt from the story I'm working on. Here's the thing though, this wasn't what I was working on when I made that promise. Heh. GO figure. Anyway, behind the cut you will find: Two Doors Down-The last thing Mel Taylor expected to find when she moved into her new apartment was Zack Taylor. As a newly divorced mother of one, any man would be a complication. But when that man is an over confident YOUNGER man, complication becomes an understatement.
Also, on a side note, I seem to be having a disturbing....interest in Zak Efron. Not Highschool Musical Zak Efron, but Hairspray Zak Efron. Yes, there is a difference. And hence the plot for the above story was born.
Ahem. That is all. Please let me know what you think. I might post more later. :D ETA-no comments about his name. Yes, I have no originality, and only you people are supposed to know who he's based on. which is just everybody in the whole damn world, huh. snerk. Oh well. And two, please ignore all the....bad spelling and such. I didn't do spell check. And damn, I suck when I'm in a hurry. LOL

goodness, life is crazy. won't bore with the details.
Anyway, so sometime in the next week or so, I'll be posting an excerpt of the book i'm working on. Unedited and such, but that's ok. I want to get some interest in it. I hope anyway. LOL. Gonna try to work on the site in general this week too.
Hopefully, anyway.
My kids are off to their dad's this week. That's always enough to give me an ulcer. Sigh.
I guess that's it. Really nothing going on, I'm going to go watch hairspray then try some writing. Toodles

As if I don't have enough to do...I started watching a little girl during the day. Yeah. I'll get a lot of writing done now. LOL. Oh well. If I can find some discipline somehwere deep down in the core of my being...yeah...I'll write at night. After So you THink you Can Dance is over of course. Cause that's gonna take two days of teh week for me now. Cause yea, I love that show. :giggle:
I did get some done last night. So I don't feel like a complete failure. And hey, today I was an honorary guest on Tornado Alley, so I couldn't have the 'puter on during that.
Anyway, I find that I might be watching CSI after all next year. They've hinted that we haven't seen the last of Warrick, and not just in flashbacks. So now I'm curious. Dammit.
And I so wasn't surprised by teh way Bones ended. I pegged it. I rock. lol
I must say, TV was cliff hanger hell this year. I hate cliffhangers. Alot.
Ok. I think that's enough rambling for the night. I need to go to bed. Night.

Ok. so, I have one truly favorite author. Nora Roberts. Well, maybe not, since she also writes and JD Robb and I don't read any of those. But I think that has to do with the style of writing thre. My mom reads them, loves them. But, we arent' talking about JD Robb. We are talking about Nora Roberts. Or I am. and you're reading it. LOL. Anyway, she usually releases one hardback book a year as well as a trilogy. I will always put down whatever I am doing to read the hardback. Period. Writing, reading anything else, feeding my children...well, maybe not that. snerk. But, her trilogies...I'm a bit more hesitant. I've been disappointed in them alot. There was one where I didn't even read the whole series. I read the first and decided I didn't need to read the rest. Well, she let one out last year that had to do with Vampires and the circle of six and Lilith and everything. I was...dammit, I was scared. LOL. She can yank me into a story with just a sentence, but there's something about the way she writes her trilogies that bothers me. It's like they are more...erg, what teh word...flowery isn't quite right. But the prose is more...'oh i love thee and together we can get through. blah blah'. Which is ok. I read and write romances. I read her's like candy. Only Harry potter could trump me reading one of her romantic suspense.
But this trilogy, the Circle of Six trilogy...my fave character is teh Vampire. Cause he's so Spike without the british accent, the soul or the bleached hair. Her love of Buffy comes through alot in her books. She even mentioned Spike in one of them. Something about him and a vat of chocolate....goes to happy place....
Ahem...anyway...I've finished the first book. I decided to read these now, because I was craving one of her books and I have a month to wait for the new HB and I have two of the new trilogy and I want all of them before I start reading. Instant gratification girl here. All my fave shows ending in cliff hangers this year has killed me. Erg. So, I finished the first book, and I've started teh second...and i'm not sure I want to go on. I think cause most of it happens in Ireland,and three of the characters are from a past type place, four if you count the vampire, because he's modernized. And I'm really not one for teh historical aspect of it. I like electricity, my laptop, phone, car...hospitals. Sigh. I should read it. Cause I'll be all, god what happened if I don't. I'm afraid she'll get all...sticky with the happy ending and make me die of sugar shock.
And, enough of that rant. LOL> Guess I'll go put away laundry.

Lemme tell you, I hate sinus infections. Mine always get so bad so QUICK, that I lose my sense of smell and taste. That sucks. I feel better now. But I"m tired.
I'm watching Star Wars:Episode V-The Empire Strikes Back. how pretentious is it to make the middle of a series before the end? This one is my FAVORITE. Yay for Han Solo. He ruined me for all men at the tender age of 8. Les Sigh.
Randomness is fun.
So, off to try to write some smut. I remember when sex scenes would roll out of my head like water. Now, I get to where one is supposed to be and I post in big letters "SEX HAPPENS. WRITE LATER" then carry on with the story. Sigh. I'm lame.
Yeah, so, maybe a shower would be better first....there's also laundry mocking me........

I am NEVER watching CSI again. EVER. Probably not even the reruns. yeah. I'm that pissed. Thank you annoying TV writer people for destroying me once more. Even though it wasn't quite as keen a pain as when the fiasco that was Buffy ended (yeah, you know what scene I'm talking about.) it still hurt. Bastards.
On a writing note, hey, I'm off to actually do some. Jeez, imagine that. I'll probably have a post in a day or two that will have a poll for help with a title. I've never done a poll before, should be interesting. I hope I get some opinions.
I'm gonna try to post on this thing some more. Perhaps drum up some interest in what i"m doing now. Maybe even post a teaser or two to some of you. I currently have three stories in progress of the orginal type. I had to put one aside, cause it was irritating me. But I've still got my superhero one and I've printed out Phantom Whispers to go over and edit before completing it. Gonna scrap like half of what i have finished on that and rewrite. Yay.
So yeah. I'm off. And no, I haven't fallen off the planet, munchkin dear. :D
